TeachAbove™ Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to TeachAbove™, a professional teacher training and certification program provided by the California International Teachers Association (CITA). By accessing or enrolling in any part of the TeachAbove™ program, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Enrollment and Eligibility

Eligibility: The TeachAbove™ program is open to aspiring and experienced educators globally. You must be at least 18 years of age and meet the minimum qualifications outlined during the enrollment process.

Application Process: To enroll, you must submit an application through the official TeachAbove™ platform. CITA reserves the right to review and accept or reject applications based on program capacity, applicant qualifications, and program availability.

Fees: Enrollment fees must be paid in full before accessing the program unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. All fees are non-refundable unless specified under the refund policy below.
3. Program Structure and Access

Modules: The program consists of various modules that must be completed in sequence. Participants will have access to in-person or online formats depending on their enrollment choice.

Practicum: As part of TeachAbove™, participants are required to complete a supervised practicum. Placements are arranged based on availability, and participants are expected to comply with the requirements and expectations of the host institution.

Certification: Upon successful completion of the required coursework, practicum, and assessments, participants will receive the TeachAbove™ Certification, recognized by CITA and its partner institutions.

Access Duration: Participants will have access to course materials for a set period, typically 12 months from the start of the program. Extensions may be granted at the discretion of TeachAbove™.
4. Code of Conduct

Professionalism: Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times during the program, including during interactions with instructors, mentors, and practicum hosts.

Academic Integrity: Plagiarism, cheating, or other forms of academic dishonesty will result in immediate termination from the program without refund. Participants are expected to submit original work and follow the guidelines provided in each module.

Respect: Discrimination, harassment, or any form of abusive behavior toward staff, instructors, or fellow participants is strictly prohibited and will lead to removal from the program.
5. Intellectual Property

Content Ownership: All content provided in the TeachAbove™ program, including but not limited to, course materials, videos, and assessments, is the intellectual property of CITA. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any of the content provided as part of the program.

Personal Use: Participants are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for personal education purposes only.
6. Refund Policy

Before Program Commencement: Participants may request a refund up to 14 days before the program start date. Any administrative fees will be deducted from the total refund amount.

After Program Commencement: Refunds will not be issued once the program has started, except in cases of severe medical or personal emergencies, subject to approval from CITA’s administration team.

Program Cancellation: If TeachAbove™ cancels a program due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to enroll in a future cohort.
7. Program Modifications

Changes to Curriculum: TeachAbove™ reserves the right to modify, update, or revise course content, modules, or other aspects of the program as necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.

Program Interruptions: In case of events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics), TeachAbove™ reserves the right to modify the delivery method of the program (e.g., transitioning from in-person to online) or extend deadlines as necessary.
8. Liability and Disclaimers

No Guarantee of Employment: While TeachAbove™ provides career support and job placement assistance, we do not guarantee employment upon completion of the program.

Third-Party Institutions: TeachAbove™ works with partner schools and institutions for practicum placements. We are not liable for any issues or disputes that arise during these placements but will make every effort to address them with the partner institution.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeachAbove™ and its parent organization, CITA, shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program.
9. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal Information: TeachAbove™ collects and uses personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By enrolling, you agree that we may use your personal information for the purposes of delivering the program, administering assessments, and offering career services.

Data Sharing: We may share your information with third-party institutions for practicum placement, job referrals, or other program-related purposes. However, your data will not be sold or shared for commercial purposes.
10. Termination

Voluntary Withdrawal: Participants who wish to withdraw from the program must notify TeachAbove™ in writing. Depending on the timing of the withdrawal, refund eligibility will be assessed according to our refund policy.

Program Dismissal: TeachAbove™ reserves the right to terminate a participant’s enrollment for failure to comply with these terms and conditions, including but not limited to academic dishonesty, unprofessional conduct, or violation of any program policies.
11. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Mediation: In the event of a dispute between a participant and TeachAbove™, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing any formal legal action.
